Mary Ann Wreschnig, age 68 of Manistee died Sunday, September 22, 2024, at the Manistee County Medical Care Facility.
She was born on January 9, 1956, in Wausau, WI the daughter of the late Clifford & Bernice I. (Bolen) Hoftiezer. She was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 1979 with a BS in Secondary Education. On August 5, 1978, she had married Nicholas Wreschnig at Bible Presbyterian Church in Merrill, Wisconsin.
Mary Ann was a very active supporter of the Homeward Bound Animal Shelter, serving on its Board of Directors for fifteen years. Her other interests included knitting, trivia, the Titanic, and murder mystery weekends.
She is survived by her husband; Nicholas Wreschnig, sons; Daniel (Jennifer) Wreschnig and David (Terra McIntosh) Wreschnig, grandchildren; Erika & Marcus Wreschnig, her sister; Julie (Robert) Mutz, as well as by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services for Mary Ann Wreschnig will be held Thursday October 10, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Manistee, MI with Reverend Robert T. Smallman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until time of service.
