James Allen ‘Jim’ Strasser passed away September 27, 2023, in Tomahawk.
Jim was born in Merrill on September 19, 1947, to George and Norma (Rusch) Strasser. He attended Merrill High School, graduating in 1966. He served in the United States Army in Vietnam. He enlisted in 1968 and was honorably discharged in 1969.
Jim is survived by a son, Jeremy (Gina); and three grandchildren, Desireé, Sabrina, and Damian Strasser all of Wausau. He is further survived by brother, Gene; sister, Sharon (Clint) Kasper; brother-in-law, Jerry Klempke; sister-in-law, Shirley Strasser; nephew, Eric (Julie) Kasper of Rice Lake; and niece, Samantha Strasser of Boston.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rose Klempke; and brother, Dale.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Riverview Health Services in Tomahawk and Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services for the wonderful care they provided Jim.
