J’Ette Emily Buck was born on March 2, 1926 in Merrill, WI to Emil and Esther (Karau) Buck. She received her education in the Merrill Public School District, graduating with the class of 1944. J’Ette continued her education by receiving her RN degree in Nursing from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in Milwaukee, WI. She worked at Deaconess Hospital in Milwaukee for a time before moving to California. While there, she worked at Los Angeles County Hospital, rising to the position of Nursing Supervisor of the LA County Surgical Department. After her retirement, she moved to Los Banos, California, where she lived until May of 2019. J’Ette then relocated to Waukesha, Wisconsin, where she resided until shortly before her death on December 11, 202l, at the age of 95.
J’Ette is survived by cousins, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. Her parents and her brother, Rev. Earl Buck, preceded her in death. Also predeceasing her were her pets, Babe, BeBe, and Missy.
As per her wishes, she was cremated and no services were held. Memorials may be directed to the donors’ choice.
