Roger C. Henke, 78 of Irma passed away at home on Thursday, August 12, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 1, 1942, son of the late Clarence and Sylvia (Schmidt) Henke. Roger was confirmed on June 9, 1957 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Town of Corning. On November 21, 1964 he married Norma J. Schult. He worked as a logger with his father, later as a vinyl applicator at Semling-Menke Co for 28 years. He enjoyed cutting firewood, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, feeding wildlife, specializing equipment and customizing his trucks and tractors.
He is survived by his loving wife Norma; two daughters, Sarah Baumann, Hamburg; and Lissa (Kevin) Schneider, Winona, MN; two sons, Mark (Inez) Henke, Modesto, CA; and Todd Henke, Minocqua; six grandchildren, Mikayla and Michael Baumann, Hamburg; Austin, Juliet, Alexia, and Mark Anthony Henke, Modesto, CA; three half-siblings, Dora Raddatz, Little Chicago; Elaine Barry, Merrill; and Raymond (Sharon) Mundt, Tomahawk. He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Dale Baumann.
Per Roger’s wishes, private family services will be held Friday, August 20, 2021. In lieu of flowers, donations may be accepted at the Lincoln County Humane Society at 310 Memorial Drive Merrill, WI 54452, (715) 536-3459. John J.
